Welcome to Forrest Beach State School

Forrest Beach State School is a small school situated approximately 17 kilometres to the east of Ingham, North Queensland. We value and cater for the needs of the "whole child" and our results consistenly show that our approach is succeeding for all our students.

Our motto is "Achievement through Effort". Curriculum for Prep to Year 6 is based on the Australian Curriculum and Essential Learnings for each key learning area.  Our 2017 school goal is simple: Students will achieve an A, B or C in English, Maths and Science. We also place great value on the arts and culture and offer a rich and varied curriculum including music, visual and performing arts and dance. We acknowledge the importance of the arts in developing well-rounded individuals and take great pride in the musical and dramatic performances our students collectively offer to our local community. We are heavily involved in local, regional and state-wide arts and social science challenges, such as Optiminds. Forrest Beach State School is a Positive Behaviour for Learning school and also supports the social and emotional needs of its students through the KidsMatter framework.

Our school welcomes many local organisations that use its facilities and in many ways we are a hub for our small beach-side community. We are well supported by parents and local community organisations.
